DESIGN PROCESS

1. Initial contact & information

Please send an email with all the details needed: names, date, venue, style, and your preferences for colors, layout, and overall vibe. If you have a mood board – please share it.

2. Quote

Based on your details and wishes, we’ll get back to you with a quote.

3. First design draft

I’ll send over an initial draft of your invitation based on your input.

4. Two revision rounds included

You’ll have the chance to review and request changes up to two rounds (for example, updating text, colors, or layout). This ensures the design feels just right for you.

5. Final approval

Once you’re happy with the design, you’ll approve the final version. I’ll then prepare the files for print.

6. Printing & delivery

Your invitations will be professionally printed on high-quality paper. Production and delivery typically takes around 10 days after final approval (longer for letterpress).

PRINTING GUIDE

Different printing techniques for your custom stationery

Digital Printing

Digital printing reproduces a design directly from a digital file onto paper, resulting in a clean, even surface without any debossed or raised effect. Since the process doesn’t require printing plates (unlike letterpress or foil stamping), it’s a flexible and accessible option. Ideal for our 300 gsm cardstock.

Letterpress

Letterpress is a slow, traditional process where the design is pressed into the paper using our antique Heidelberg Windmill press. Each impression leaves a deep, tactile mark, as the ink is applied one colour at a time through custom-made plates. Every invitation is printed individually, allowing for rich depth and character. Printed using Pantone colour codes. Especially beautiful on handmade paper and thicker cardstock.

Foil Printing

Blind embossing is a subtle, sculptural technique where the design is shaped directly into the paper, without the use of ink. Using two bespoke metal plates — one raised, the other recessed — the paper is gently pressed between them, revealing a refined, dimensional impression that relies solely on light and shadow. Elegant on all paper types.

Blind Embossing & Debossing

Blind embossing is a method of creating raised logos or characters on paper without ink. In this process, two metal plates are used; one with raised logo or characters and another with a matching but recessed logo or characters. When a sheet of paper is pressed between these plates, blind embossing occurs. Suitable for all types of paper

”We hired Helena for our wedding after recommendations from our friends who were very happy with her design and professionalism. Helena helped us design our invitations, menus and place cards. What we appreciated the most was her responsiveness to our wishes, her creative and beautiful illustrations and that she was lovely and easy to work with. We also received different price options based on estimated time spent and material costs. That was something we appreciated a lot. We’re simply very happy with Helena’s work and want to give her our warmest recommendations!”
